Car accidents, no matter how minor, are a scary experience and they can turn something as routine as your morning commute into a life-changing moment. If another driver loses concentration for just a second – by reaching for a cup of coffee or using a cell phone to text a friend – a serious accident can occur, threatening the livelihood of anybody nearby.

That could be the case in an early morning motorcycle accident in West Palm Beach where a car collided with a motorcycle. The crash happened at an intersection, which means it is possible that one of the drivers was negligent behind the wheel.

Maybe someone ran a red light or attempted to beat the other through the intersection while turning. In any case, if negligence or recklessness is deemed to be at play in the accident, the at-fault party could be liable for any injuries in the motorcycle accident.

Few details were available in this collision and the conditions of the car passengers were unknown, but the motorcycle driver had to be taken to the hospital. Considering the increased injury risk for those on motorcycles, the driver in this story could have suffered serious or even life-threatening injuries.

When victimized in any vehicle accident, it is important to gather as much information from the scene as you can. Sometimes this isn’t possible, but it is an important step to take if you are able. This will help you support your side of the story. Should the accident be bad enough and you feel the other driver was liable for any injuries you have suffered, adding an attorney could help your personal injury case.
