Unlicensed driver involved in serious three-vehicle collision

Few situations in life can turn from routine and benign to jarringly catastrophic as quickly as a highway drive. An accident has the potential to permanently change the life of not just a single person but an entire family.

A serious collision involving three vehicles earlier this week left two Florida residents with injuries, some of them serious. The car accident took place on U.S. Highway 41 in Bradenton in the late Thursday evening hours.

According to police accounts, the driver of a sedan moving southbound lost control from behind the wheel, striking a brick planter wall along the road’s shoulder and causing the car immediately behind to swerve into the oncoming lane where it eventually came to a stop.

The second vehicle was struck be a northbound vehicle, reportedly a Pontiac Sunbird, which failed to steer clear of the stopped car.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 27-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident and was rushed to Blake Medical Center. Another 26-year-old-woman in the Sunbird suffered injuries and was herself taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Police investigation has revealed that the Pontiac’s driver was unlicensed at the time of the accident.

In multiple-vehicle crashes such as this one where numerous parties are injured, determining fault and asserting accountability for resulting damages can be a near-indecipherable task.

However, ensuring that those who have been hurt in the way of a car accident is responsibility of paramount importance, especially considering the possibly lifelong effects such an injury can engender. Those who have been involved in a car or truck accident should seek out the advice and advocacy of a personal injury attorney. With a lawyer’s help, determining fault and pursuing rightful damages can be a smooth, effective legal process.
