Everyday, news stories detail traffic crashes caused by drivers speeding, talking on cell phones, texting while driving, etc. Rarely do we hear about crashes caused by drivers who fail to properly maintain their vehicles.
The following are some of the vehicle maintenance issues that, when overlooked, may contribute to a traffic crash, injuries and the loss of life:
– overinflated or underinflated tires
– tires with insufficient tread
– worn brakes
– cracked windshields
– burned out bulbs in brakes lights and turn signals
Drivers should routinely inspect their vehicles and repair maintenance issues as quickly as possible. Doing so will surely assist with keeping our roads safe.
