Motorcycle riders seriously hurt in Palm Beach accident

We have spoken about how dangerous the road can be for motorcyclists. The vulnerable nature of the vehicle is bad enough, but motorcyclists are often overlooked (or simply not seen) by other drivers, leading to terrible accidents.

Whether or not that is a factor in the following crash in Palm Beach County, Florida is yet to be seen; but multiple people suffered serious harm after a car and a motorcycle collided a few days ago.

Little information was available regarding the driver and passengers in the car. Unfortunately, though, the two people riding on the motorcycle were flung from their vehicle and suffered serious injuries. They were taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

In many motorcycle accidents, the motorcyclist is behind the eight ball from the beginning. Their insurer will likely scrutinize everything about the wreck (their driving history, their helmet use) and their past behavior to try and reduce how much they have to cover. In that situation, an accident victim needs an experienced lawyer by their side to help deal with their insurer’s tactics.

At the same time, we need to look at the other vehicle in this accident. Was the driver negligent in any way? Was the driver texting or using his cell phone? Has the driver had past accidents or incidents involving drugs or alcohol? Depending on the answers to these questions, the motorcyclist could have a very strong personal injury case against the driver.

Of course, both parties need to wait for the result of the investigation into the crash, which can take many weeks. This is something many first-time accident-sufferers may not realize.
