Dangers of Driving without Proper Rest

Statistics show that tired drivers can be just as dangerous on our roadways as drunk drivers. Crashes involving drivers who fall asleep at the wheel are not just limited to long-haul truckers. Tired drivers who doze off usually tend to overcorrect their wandering vehicles and in doing so, either cause their vehicles to roll over or crash into other vehicles.

News articles have been written about vehicles pulled from bodies of water along roadways. Many times bodies are found in these vehicles and bring resolution to the question about where a missing loved one has been. It is usually determined that the driver fell asleep, veered off the road and disappeared.

Over the past several years, many counties have installed guard rails in order to protect drivers.

Please be safe and stay alert on our roadways!
